Community Solar Power – It’s a good idea.
Looking to the future, our visioning group identified some projects to help with funding now that the Lords’ Acre auction has finished. The Trustees after due consideration have selected Astral Power as our provider for solar farms. In addition to being consistent with the Social Principles of the United Methodist Church and good for all of us to help the environment, our church will receive $100 for each participant who signs up. The $100 for each one could add to our fund raising significantly. Each participant signing up for the program will receive a nearly 10% discount on their electric power bill. Both the church building and the education building will qualify for the discount. During the month of April and May each person signing up will qualify for a $50 incentive fee. There is no enrollment fee or any charge if you wish to cancel at any time.
This is a fund raiser for the church we can do now, while many other events may be postponed. We wanted all church members to be aware of this opportunity. If you want to sign up there will be a Zoom meeting to assist you through the process. Also if you can help promote the program with your neighbors and friends please join us at the Zoom meetings.
